The Best Alcohol Free Gin for Christmas Gifts 2022

Alcohol-free gin, also known as alcohol-free botanical spirits either contains no alcohol at all, or only trace amounts. This makes it a great option for those who love the tart, juniper-based flavours of gin, without the effects of alcohol. With so many options available on the market, here are a few of our favourites that would make fantastic Christmas gifts.

Seedlip Spice 94

Seedlip isn’t a brand that tries to replicate alcoholic spirits, so you won’t see ‘alcohol-free gin’ written on the bottle, however, they make fantastic botanical alternatives to alcoholic spirits.

Seedlip Spice 94 is especially perfect for Christmas, with the cardamom, allspice and citrus notes from grapefruit and lemon giving warm and cosy Christmas-y notes that work especially well in mocktails that include citrus.

For a true winter warmer cocktail, Seedlip Spice 94 is perfect. In fact, Seedlip provides a recipe for a ginger toddy, which involves Seedlip Spice, pear juice, and ginger and cinnamon syrup. With a sustained period of colder weather expected across the UK this winter, it could make the perfect gift.

Strykk Not Gin

If you’re looking for a non-alcoholic spirit that has the same distilled flavour profile as an alcoholic one, then look no further. Strykk Not Gin has flavour notes of juniper, coriander, sage and basil which all give it a classic gin-like taste.

This is perhaps the best option if the person you’re thinking of gifting it to is a fan of simpler drinks. Mixed with tonic over ice, or in a simple-yet-striking cocktail such as the suggested NOT G*N Bramble on the Strykk website, it’s got all the refreshing flavour with no fuss.

Ceder's Crisp

Ceder’s Crisp is a distilled non-alcoholic spirit that’s made with a blend of botanicals including cucumber, juniper, mint and chamomile.

If the recipient isn’t a fan of quite heavy spiced Christmas flavours or prefers lighter drinks, this is an excellent choice. The refreshing burst of cucumber makes for a delicious drink that’s just perfect mixed with tonic or soda water over ice. Or, for something a little more special, this Crisp Valley Spritz cocktail with apple juice, cucumber juice and lavender syrup might just do the trick.

Whether you’re buying a gift for someone sober, sober-curious, or is unable to drink for medical reasons, these are three really great options which have the added bonus of being sugar free!. Do you have a favourite alcohol-free alternative to gin that we’ve not mentioned? Please do let us know, we’re always looking for new alcohol-free distilled spirits to try in our mocktails!
